SheWolF – “The Other Side”

*BWNR August Album of The Month*

The BWNR choice for album of the month is the first full length album from the band since the 2014 release of their self-titled EP. The EP was recorded after the band won an award as winners of the “Kool Skools-2014” contest in their home country of Australia.

SheWolF is  fresh, all-female band from Melbourne, Australia, who play their original material in a modern hard rock style featuring vocal harmonies, melodic guitar solos and powerful drums. Comprised of triplet sisters, the band’s unique bond provides a fresh new take on old classic rock and roll with a modern twist.

Audio Storm – “Vol. 2”

From New Zealand, Audio Storm is a hard rock studio entity known as Audio Storm. Spear-headed by musicians Kingsley Smith & Scott Sullivan, the band has been airing on BWNR almost since the beginning of the station in 2014 when the song “The Night” from the debut album “Audio Storm” reached “Classic” status at the end of 2015.

“Vol. 2” continues the theme set in the debut album with tracks like “Summer Song” & “Passion Fly” already receiving heavy rotation & a great response from fans of BWNR.

Darcy Malone & The Tangle – “Still Life”, “Make Me Over”, “Pure As Gold”

Featuring ALL 3 releases from DMATT!

(KLIF’s Note: the following is from the band’s FB biography)

“It can be hard to be a rock musician in New Orleans, and we knew we needed elements to make it a little different,” says Darcy Malone, lead singer of Darcy Malone and the Tangle. “What we’re trying to achieve is rock/soul, with elements of something catchy—something like Ike & Tina Turner meets XTC.” The inherent contradiction in those disparate reference points is the driving force behind Darcy Malone and the Tangle. Since its inception, band founders Malone — daughter of the Radiators’ Dave Malone — and her husband, Tangle singer/guitarist Christopher Boye, wanted a project unburdened by traditional genre limitations.
