Bandwagon Radio Network Turns 6

Independent Artist Only Radio Station Growing Daily

In the fall of 2013, while working for the software company that designs and supports the radio automation systems of IHeartMedia, Cumulus and other broadcast corporations, the concept of a internet radio station network was conceived.

While working the late evening and overnight shifts helping test a new software addition, a technical support engineer started thinking about all of the regional and local bands he had met since he was kid. Thoughts of his father and the family band he had spent over 30 years preforming with made him realize that corporate radio was trying to change music and not in a good way.

Since the hours he worked weren’t the busiest as far as taking calls, he started learning more about how to operate the latest generation of radio automation software as well as researching what was involved with getting this project off the ground. He also started searching the internet sites for music and discovered a whole new world of indie artists with the same desire – to get heard on the radio and maybe get discovered.

That Technical Support Engineer was Cliff Broyhill and today, 6 years later, BWNR averages 15,000 listeners every month on the BEST 24/7 Independent Radio Station on the planet.
